Snake Davis is jazz / soul / funk musician from United Kingdom.
Snake Davis was brought up in South Wales. After paying his dues in the clubs
and hangouts of London, Liverpool and New York, he is now established as one
of the UK's leading sax players. He has recorded with Paul McCartney, Cher,
M-People, George Michael, Ray Charles, Boy George, Take That, Westlife, Swing
Out Sister, Lisa Stansfield, B*Witched, Soul II Soul, Paul Hardcastle, Acoustic
Alchemy, Spice Girls, Chris Rea, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Robert Palmer,
Dave Stewart, Jim Diamond, Motorhead, Mark Morrison, Primal Scream, Blue, and
Lemar to name but a few.
Snake Davis is involved with several bands, his own "The
Snake Davis Band" has
Paul Birchall on keys (Marshall Jefferson, M People, Heather Small, Candi Statton,
K'Klass, Jim Diamond); Winston Blisset on bass guitar (Massive Attack, Robbie
Williams, Cher, Kylie, Lionel Richie, Boy George); Bryan Hargreaves on drums
(Heather Small, Gary Cooke, Pocket Central). These are the regular band members,
although with such high profile players, sometimes they are not able to perform
with the band. On these occassions, Snake will ask others great musicians to
join him, for example, Neil Fairclough, John Ellis, Pat Illingworth, Frank
Felix and Luke Flowers.
