Zvonimir Tot
Biography
Zvonimir Tot is a jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger. His
style is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, but flavored by his European origin.
Zvonimir holds degrees from Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, Illinois),
Amsterdam Conservatory (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), and Franz Liszt Academy
of Musical Arts (Budapest, Hungary). He has performed in The United States,
The Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, and Yugoslavia.
As a jazz musician, Zvonimir Tot has performed and / or recorded with Johnny
Frigo (violin), Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen (double bass, Denmark), Paul Wertico
(drums), Scott Hamilton (tenor sax), Billy Harper (tenor sax, New York), Larry
Gray (bass), Peter King (alto & soprano sax, Great Britain), Larry Novak
(piano), Mark Colby (tenor sax), Marshall Vente (piano), Deborah Carter (vocal,
USA-Holland), John Engels (drums, Holland), and many others. Zvonimir Tot teaches
at University of Illinois-Chicago, College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn, Illinois),
and McHenry County College (Crystal Lake, Illinois). His biography has been
included in the 2005 and 2006 Who’s Who in America, published by Marquis Publishing.
